Biography
Katie Knipp, born in Alameda, California, is an American singer and pianist. She released her first solo album Violent in Here in 2003, followed by Take Her Down in 2005. In 2018, her album Take It with You reached number 10 on the Billboard Blues Album Chart. On March 12, 2021, she released the EP The Well, which debuted at number 4 on the same chart and included the single "Chamomile and Cocaine". Her live album Katie Knipp Live at the Green Room Social Club was released in June 2022. She has opened for artists such as Robert Cray, Jimmie Vaughan, and Joan Osborne. Knipp is a two-time winner of the Sacramento Music Awards for Best Blues Artist (2019, 2020). In 2025, she followed with album Me.
