Kärtsy Hatakka, born Kari Arvo Ilari Hatakka on December 17, 1967, in Finland, was a Finnish musician known for his role as the lead vocalist and bassist of the rock band Waltari. He formed Waltari in 1986 with Jariot Lehtinen and Sale Suomalainen. The band's early releases included Mut Hei EP (1990) and albums such as Monk-Punk (1991) and Torcha! (1992). Hatakka's work with Waltari spanned over three decades, releasing albums like Radium Round (1999) and Rare Species (2004).
