Biography

Peter Joseph Salett, born on May 12, 1969 in Princeton, New Jersey, is an American singer-songwriter and composer. He moved to Columbia, Maryland at age four and later attended Brown University, graduating in 1991. Salett's music career began with the release of his debut album Paintings of These Days in 1997 under Dusty Shoes Music. His breakthrough came with the inclusion of "Heart of Mine" from his second album Heart of Mine (2000) in the film Keeping the Faith. Salett contributed music to numerous films, including Down in the Valley (2005) and The Ten (2007), and co-wrote the Dracula puppet musical finale "A Taste for Love" for the film Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008).
