Gersey, an Australian rock band based in Melbourne, formed in 1997. The band's first release was the EP Bewilderment is a Blessing in 1999. Their first full-length album, Hope Springs, was released in 2000, followed by Storms Dressed as Stars in 2002, both produced with Tim Whitten at Megaphon Studios in Sydney. In 2006, they released their third album No Satellites. After a hiatus, Gersey returned with What You Kill in 2016. The band also pursued side projects, including Matt Davis' Bombazine Black and Craig Jackson's Sirens of Venice.
