Biography
Karies, a post-punk band from Stuttgart, Germany, was formed in 2012. Their initial breakthrough came with the release of their demo Fun ist ein Stahlbad in 2013. The band's debut album, Seid umschlungen, Millionen, was produced by Max Rieger of Die Nerven and released in 2014 through This Charming Man Records. Following this, Karies embarked on numerous tours across Germany, supporting acts like Turbostaat and Sleaford Mods. Their second album, Es geht sich aus, was produced by Max Rieger and Ralv Milberg in 2016. The band's third studio album, Alice, was released in October 2018. During the subsequent tour, Paul Schwarz of Human Abfall replaced Kevin Kuhn on drums due to Kuhnâs commitments with Die Nerven and Wolf Mountains. Karies continued their musical journey with the release of Tagträume an der Schaummaschine I in 2023, along with singles "Im Morgenlicht", "Coming of Age", and "Laguna Seca".
