Biography

Jeff Ott, born on June 24, 1970 in Oakland, California, is an American singer, guitarist, and author. His music contained politically charged lyrics which addressed issues such as racism and social injustice. Ott began playing music at age four and started his musical career with the band S.A.G. in 1982. The group later evolved into Crimpshrine, where Jeff Ott took on vocal duties. In 1988, Crimpshrine released their debut EP Sleep, What's That? and followed it with the album Lame Gig Contest (1989). After disbanding in 1989, Ott formed Fifteen, which recorded two LPs for Lookout! Records. Ott also released his solo album Epithysial Union in 1998. In 2003, he released the double album Will Work for Diapers.
