Biography

Juice was a Danish contemporary R&B and soul group formed in 1995 in Denmark, comprising Anne Rani, Lena Tahara, and Maria Hamer‑Jensen, who collectively performed as vocalists and lyricists. Their first breakthrough came with the single "I'll Come Runnin'" in 1997, which entered the Danish Singles Chart and reached Number 48 on the UK Singles Chart, establishing the trio as a rising act within the Scandinavian R&B scene. In the same year, the group released their debut album Something To Feel, which sold 40,000 copies and cemented their commercial presence; the follow‑up single "Best Days" peaked at Number 28 in Denmark. After Lena Tahara departed in 1998, Eve Horne joined, and Juice signed with EMI‑Medley, producing the 1999 album Can We Get Personal? and contributing to the Christmas collaboration "Let Love Be Love" alongside S.O.A.P., Christina Undhjem, and Remee, which reached Number 16 on the Danish charts. The group released the single "Not in Love" in 1999 and "My Love" in 2000 before disbanding in August 2000 following two successful studio albums. Juice’s concise discography and chart performances remain noted examples of Danish R&B’s international reach during the late 1990s.
