Josef Leimberg, born November 29, 1972, in Los Angeles, is an American trumpeter and producer. He started his career in 1993 as a member of Mad Kap, appearing on their debut album Look Ma Duke, No Hands. Leimberg collaborated with Myka 9 and Freestyle Fellowship, producing several albums. He played trumpet on "Rob One, Rock On" featuring The Shape Shifters / Project Blowed. Introduced to Snoop Dogg by producer Quazedelic, Leimberg produced tracks for R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta): The Masterpiece and Paid tha Cost to Be da Boss, followed by extensive touring. In 2014, under the alias LoveDragon, he collaborated with Terrace Martin on Kendrick Lamarâs Grammy Award-winning album To Pimp a Butterfly. Leimberg's contributions included trumpet work on six tracks and vocals on "Wesley's Theory" and "For Sale?". In 2016, he released his debut solo album Astral Progressions on World Galaxy Records.
