Biography

John David Carver, known professionally as Johnny Carver, was born on November 24, 1940 in Jackson, Mississippi and began his career as a country music singer. His initial breakthrough came with the release of his debut album Really Country in 1967. Throughout the 1970s, he released several notable albums including I Start Thinking About You, Tie A Yellow Ribbon Around The Old Oak Tree, and Strings. Carver's music career spanned over a decade, marked by notable singles such as "I Start Thinking About You" and "Sweet City Woman".
