Biography
German singer Joel Brandenstein was born on February 26, 1984 in Ratingen. In 2011, he began releasing videos of cover versions of well-known songs and thus began his journey from industrial clerk to celebrated pop star. In 2014, he achieved his first chart entry in Germany, Austria and Switzerland with the self-composed song "Diese Liebe". The singer also cracked the top 20 in his home country with his second single " Grenzenlos" (2015). His first EP, Wie alles begann, followed in 2016. A year later, the debut album Emotionen is released, which storms to the top of the charts in Germany. In summer 2020, the single "Der Himmel reiÃt auf", a collaboration with singer Vanessa Mai, announces his second studio album Frei. The LP, which is released via his own label Freie Musik, climbs to number 3 in Germany two months later and reaches number 13 in Switzerland. The emotional ballad "Wegen Dir", a song about his deceased mother, is released at the end of 2021. Joel Brandenstein starts 2023 with his third studio album Schwarz & Bunt. The longplayer reaches number 2 in Germany, another top position.
