Biography
Joe Dart, born April 18, 1991, in Harbor Springs, Michigan, began playing bass at age 8, inspired by Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He attended Fleaâs conservatory at 14 and later studied music at the University of Michigan, where he co-founded Vulfpeck in 2011 with Jack Stratton, Theo Katzman, and Woody Goss. Known for his virtuosic playing, Dartâs work shines on tracks like Dean Town from The Beautiful Game (2016). Vulfpeck gained a global following with seven albums and iconic covers. In 2019, Music Man released a Joe Dart signature bass, followed by the minimalist Joe Dart Jr. in 2021.
