Jockie Soerjoprajogo, born on September 14, 1954 in Demak, Central Java, was an Indonesian musician and songwriter. He studied under Muchtar Embut and Idris Sardi and co-founded God Bless in 1973, contributing to releases such as Semut Hitam (1988). His solo album Musik Saya adalah Saya (1979) was followed by Terbanglah Lepas (1981), Bila Damaipun Tiba (1982), Selamat Jalan Kekasih (1982), and Penantian (1986). Collaborations with Chrisye and Eros Djarot yielded the soundtrack Badai Pasti Berlalu (1977), which sold 9 million copies. His compositions "Kehidupan" and "Kesaksian" ranked 8th and 82nd on Rolling Stone Indonesiaâs list of 150 best Indonesian songs of all time in 2009. Soerjoprajogo died on February 5, 2018.
