James Anthony Bernard Justice, born James Anthony Bernard Little on 15 December 1939 in Bermondsey, South London, was an English pop singer known as Jimmy Justice. During his early career, he formed ties with Dave Sweetnam and George Sweetnam, stepbrothers of Emile Ford, which led to occasional performances with the Checkmates. In 1959, he competed in a talent show and signed with Pye Records following encouragement from Emile Ford. His debut single, "I Understand Just How You Feel", was released in 1960 under the name Jimmy Justice and the Jury. In 1962, he achieved significant chart success in the UK with three Top 40 hits: "When My Little Girl Is Smiling" (number nine), "Ain't That Funny" (number eight), and "Spanish Harlem" (number 20). He released two albums in 1963, I Wake Up Crying and Justice for All!, but his career waned with the rise of beat groups. He continued to record for labels such as Decca, RCA Victor, and B&C into the early 1970s. He passed away on 15 November 2022 at the age of 82.
