Jesse Labelle, born February 12, 1982, in Toronto, Ontario, is a Canadian-American country singer-songwriter. He began playing guitar in his pre-teens and was part of several rock bands during high school. Labelle's breakthrough came when he caught the attention of Fefe Dobson, leading to collaborations with songwriter/producer Jay Levine and ultimately a development deal with Arista Records. In 2008, Labelle signed with Wax Records and released his debut album Perfect Accident on April 27, 2010. His second album, Two, was released on August 7, 2013. Notable singles include "Heartbreak Coverup" and "Easier." Labelle has opened for Garth Brooks on his 2019 stadium tour and was the only independent artist invited to play the main stage at the Stagecoach Festival, the largest and most prestigious country music festival, in 2013. He moved to Nashville in 2015, becoming a staple and a songwriting force in Music City.
