Biography

Jennifer Anne Ognibene, known professionally as Jenny O., is an American singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles, California. She grew up on Long Island, New York, and studied jazz at the State University of New York at New Paltz, followed by composition studies at SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Music. She first gained attention with her 2010 EP Home, a collection of demo recordings. The single “Well OK Honey” received wider exposure through multiple media placements, including HBO’s True Blood, as well as television advertising and other media usage. In 2013, she released her debut full-length album Automechanic on her own label, Holy Trinity Records. She followed this with Peace & Information (2017), New Truth (2020), and Spectra (2023). Throughout her career, Jenny O. has worked with a range of artists, including Father John Misty and Jonathan Wilson, and contributed vocals to numerous recording projects.
