Józef Franciszek Skrzek, born on July 2, 1948, in MichaÅkowice, Poland, is a Polish multi-instrumentalist, singer, and composer. In the early stages of his career, Skrzek was associated with groups such as ÅlÄżanie, Ametysty, and Breakout. He created the progressive-rock group Silesian Blues Band in 1971 with Jerzy Piotrowski and Apostolis Anthimos. Skrzek's discography included notable albums like PamiÄtnik Karoliny (1978), Ojciec chrzestny Dominika (1980), and Ambitus Extended (1983). He also collaborated with CzesÅaw Niemen and performed in various venues, including the Silesian Planetarium. Skrzek's work extended to theater and church music, as well as movie soundtracks. In 2012, he co-created the first Polish avant-garde oratorio Terrarium with JarosÅaw Pijarowski.
