Javier Malosetti, born on November 26, 1965, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is a bassist and musician. Initially a drummer, Malosetti switched to bass in 1986 and became one of the most sought-after bassists in Argentina. He began his career as part of Luis Alberto Spinetta's band, staying for eight years. In 1993, he released his debut solo album Javier Malosetti, which received positive reviews. Throughout his career, Malosetti collaborated with notable artists such as Rubén Rada and Dino Saluzzi. His subsequent albums included Spaghetti Boogie (2000), Villa (2002), and Malosetti Vivo (2003). In 2004, he left Spinetta's band to focus on his solo work, releasing Onyx, which won the Gardel Award for Best Jazz Album in 2005. He was also recognized with multiple ClarÃn Awards and Konex Awards, including the Konex Platinum Award for Best Jazz Soloist of the Decade in 2015.
