Biography

Robert Steven Paparozzi (born October 14, 1952), known as “Rob” and “The Honeydripper”, was an American Grammy-nominated harmonica player and vocalist from Newark, New Jersey. Paparozzi performed blues, rock, jazz, and pop music, and fronted the Psychotic Blues Band in the early 1970s, opening for Bruce Springsteen. Paparozzi led the band Hudson River Rats, releasing the albums First Take (1994) and Get It While You Can (1999). He joined The Original Blues Brothers Band in 2000 and became the lead singer for Blood, Sweat & Tears in 2005. He released the solo album Etruscan Soul in 2009. Paparozzi collaborated with musicians including Dolly Parton, Whitney Houston, and B.B. King. In 2017, he debuted as a guest soloist with the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. He also performed in the production of Big River (2019) and served as a harmonica coach for the film A Complete Unknown (2024).
