Biography

Jackie Venson, born Jackie Venson in 1990 in Austin, Texas, is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist. She began playing piano at age eight, influenced by her musician father Andrew Venson. Venson graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2011 and started learning guitar during her final year there. Her debut studio album, The Light in Me, was released in 2014. In 2014, she won the Modern Southern Music Competition, which led to a headlining spot on the Belk Summer Tour and performances with artists like Jason Aldean, Tim McGraw, and James Taylor. Venson has since released several albums including Joy (2019), Love Transcends (2021), and Evolution of Joy (2023). In November 2020, Venson made her national television debut on Austin City Limits' 46th season. She has also performed with notable artists such as Alanis Morissette and Lainey Wilson.
