Itamar Borochov, born in 1984 in Tel Aviv, Israel, is a jazz trumpeter. Raised in a musical family, he initially learned guitar before switching to trumpet, inspired by Louis Armstrong and Miles Davis. He began performing locally in Tel Aviv and moved to New York in 2007 to study at the New School. Borochov joined Yemen Blues in 2010, recording three albums with them. He released his debut album Outset in 2014 and signed with French label Laborie Jazz in 2016, releasing Boomerang. In 2019, his album Blue Nights received critical acclaim, including 5-star reviews from Downbeat Magazine and UK Vibe. He has led tours across North America, Europe, and Asia, performing at venues such as Lincoln Center and Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club.
