Irena Jarocka was a Polish singer born as Irena Wanda Jarocka on August 18, 1946 in Srebrna Góra. Jarocka achieved professional recognition for a musical career characterized by pop and ballads that began at the Opole Polish Song Festival in 1966. She achieved professional recognition for winning the Sopot Festival in 1968 for the song "Gondolierzy znad WisÅy". Her recording career began after studying at the Academy of Music in GdaÅsk and perfecting her art in Paris between 1969 and 1973.
