The Imo Kin Trio (ã¤ã¢æ¬½ããªãª) is a Japanese three-member music unit derived from a television program. The members consist of Ryoichi Yamaguchi (born March 27, 1955, Hiroshima Prefecture), Koji Nishiyama (born January 10, 1961, Kagawa Prefecture), and Kenji Nagae (born July 17, 1964, Osaka Prefecture). They made their record debut on August 5, 1981 with the single "High School Lullaby. The song, with lyrics by Takashi Matsumoto and music by Haruomi Hosono, rode the wave of the times with its light techno-pop sound and sold over 1.6 million copies. The song took the music charts by storm, reaching No. 1 on the music charts for eight consecutive weeks. Album information was also abundant, with the release of their first album , "Potato Boys No. 1," in the same year. This album is known as a masterpiece with the Moonriders participating in the performance, and it cemented the unit's popularity. The following year, they energetically released their second single , "Teardrop Detectives. Several best albums were subsequently released.
