Biography
Hymns from Nineveh is a Danish folk musical project established in 2007 by Jonas Petersen. The group's live lineup features Petersen on vocals and guitar, Nikolaj Paakjær on piano, organ, and synthesizer, Jakob Brixen on electric guitar, banjo, and shahi baaja, Jacob Haubjerg on bass, and Carl Andreas Brixen on drums. The project began with the EP Uncomplicated Christmassongs in 2009. Their debut self-titled album was released on February 21, 2011, and was named the best Danish album of that year by GAFFA. The band followed up with Endurance In Christmas Time later that same year. In September 2013, they released their third studio album Visions. Notable singles include "A Kid On The Beach", "Everything We See Will Turn To Dust", and "Wonderful Winter Morning".
