Hwanhee, born Hwang Yoon-seok on Januaryâ¯17â¯1982 in Seoul, is a South Korean singer and actor, and member of the R&B duo Fly to the Sky. After graduating from Gwangmun High School and studying postâmodern music at Kyunghee University, Hwanhee was encouraged to audition by an SM Entertainment staff member during a highâschool festival, leading to the duoâs debut on Novemberâ¯21â¯1999 with Day by Day. In 2009, following Fly to the Skyâs eighth album Decennium, Hwanhee launched a solo career, signing with HâEntercom and releasing the miniâalbum HâSoul on Octoberâ¯22â¯2009; the title track "I Lost My Heart" marked his first solo festival appearance and a Japan tour with 2,000 fans. He issued the duet "Stupid Heart" with Sook Hee in Mayâ¯2010 and the soundtrack single "Even If I Become The Wind" for Road No.â¯1. His first fullâlength album, Hwanhee, arrived on Julyâ¯29â¯2011, featuring "Love Pain". After mandatory military service from Octoberâ¯2011 to 2013, Hwanhee returned with releases such as the soundtrack for Pretty Boy (Decemberâ¯4â¯2013) and "Don't go today" (Septemberâ¯1â¯2021). Hwanhee also appeared in dramas like Over the Rainbow (2006) and Stormy Lovers (2010), and on We Got Married (2008). In lateâ¯2022 he staged the "Hwanhee 'OVER THE SKY'" concert, reaffirming his ongoing presence in the Korean music scene. The single "Love Is The Flower of Life" was released in March 2026 and entered Melon's Top 500 Melon domestic chart at rank 473 the next month.
