Biography

Bae Jin-young (born February 19, 1993 in Seoul, South Korea), known professionally as Punch, is a South Korean singer. She debuted in 2014 with the single "Because It Hurts" (아프다니까), quickly gaining prominence for her contributions to various original soundtracks (OSTs) for television series, including "Sleepless Night" for It's Okay, That's Love (2014), "Everytime" for Descendants of the Sun (2016), featuring EXO's Chen, which topped the Korean charts, and "Stay with Me" for Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (2016), a collaboration with EXO's Chanyeol that earned a nomination for Best OST at the Mnet Asian Music Awards. Punch released her debut EP, Dream of You, in January 2019, which charted at number 72 and included the single "Heart" (이 마음), reuniting with Chanyeol for the track "Go Away Go Away" for Dr. Romantic 2 (2020), which reached number 21. Her second EP, Full Bloom, was released in March, 2021, and in 2022, Punch released the singles "Losing Sleep Over You" (맞아 잠을 설친 건 너 때문이야) and "Memory" (이 밤이 가면 그대 올까요).
