Biography

Taiwanese singer and actor R.Chord, born Hsieh Ho-hsien on April 15, 1987, gained notable recognition for his lyric writing, particularly for the song "Gou Ai" featured in the Taiwanese drama The X-Family and performed by Pets Tseng in K.O.3an Guo. The song became popular enough to be parodied multiple times. Inspired by his grandfather, who named him after the musical term "chord," R.Chord developed an early passion for guitar, leading to his composition of 50 to 60 songs by age 16 and a songwriting competition win. Although he won a contract with HIM International Music, he chose to pursue underground music with his band, SEA-LEVEL. R.Chord also ventured into acting, debuting in KO One and appearing in several other dramas including Hanazakarino Kimitachihe (花樣少年少女) in 2006. He has released multiple albums along the years, including Nothing But R.Chord (雖然很芭樂) in 2009, Growing Up (於是長大了以後) in 2011, 2203 (2203扣人心弦(上)) in 2020 and many more. He released a brand new single in September 2024, titled "全都看得見".
