Hot Flash Heat Wave is an American indie rock band originating from Davis, California. The group consists of Ted Davis on bass and vocals, Adam Abilgaard on guitar and vocals, and Nick Duffy on drums. They formed in high school and later moved to the Excelsior District of San Francisco. Their debut full-length album was Neapolitan in 2015. In June 2017, they released their second full-length album, Soaked, produced by Jeff Saltzman. Notable singles include "Bye Bye Baby" (June 2016), "Dreaming of U" featuring Sophie Meiers (November 2018), and "Grudge" (September 2020). In early 2019, they released the Mood Ring EP, followed by the album Sportswear in March 2022. Additional singles released in 2021 include "m o t i o n s," "Vampires," and "Where I'm @," and "Bay Boys" in February 2022.
