Horse the Band, an American metalcore band from Lake Forest, California, was formed in 1998 by Erik Engstrom and David Isen. Initially a ska and pop punk group, they recorded their album Secret Rhythm of the Universe in 2001. After lineup changes, including Nathan Winneke taking over vocals, they released R. Borlax in 2003. The band embarked on extensive tours, including the Horse the World Tour 2004 and Warped Tour. Their album, The Mechanical Hand, was released in 2005, followed by A Natural Death in 2007. In 2009, they signed to Vagrant Records and released Desperate Living. Following an extended hiatus, Horse the Band returned with new songs "A Reason to Live" and "NoGimbus", culminating in the release of the EP Your Fault in October 2020.
