The Honey Twins, a Schlager music duo from Austria, were formed in 1959 and consisted of Andrea Horn alias Hedi Prien and Beatrix "Trixie" Kühn. Born in Vienna on January 23, 1933, Andrea Horn was an opera enthusiast who began her musical journey as a chorister before transitioning to solo performances. She studied English and French at university while also taking classical singing lessons. Her career took a turn when she adopted the stage name Hedi Prien and joined the Gloria Sisters, backing artists like Peter Kraus and Ted Herold. In 1959, she partnered with Beatrix Kühn, who had been performing since childhood under her father's guidance. The duo was named Honey Twins by their producer Gerhard Mendelson during recording sessions. The Honey Twins achieved modest success with the German cover of Charly Brown in 1959 and released their debut single "...Nur Ein KüÃchen" the following year. They appeared in film comedies such as Mein Schatz, komm mit ans blaue Meer and participated in the "Schlagerbummel"-Tournee through Germany and Austria. However, their follow-up releases, including a cover of "Banjo Boy", did not garner significant success. The duo disbanded in 1960 when Hedi Prien left to pursue a solo career with Philips Records under her real name, Andrea Horn.
