Biography
Holly Sarah Throsby, born on December 28, 1978, in Australia, is a singer and novelist. She began studying guitar at age eight and started composing music by eleven. In 2003, Throsby released her debut album On Night, which featured her distinctive vocals and guitar work. The album received critical acclaim for its emotionally resonant songs. Throsby toured extensively with various artists, including Bonnie "Prince" Billy, Joanna Newsom, and Devendra Banhart. Her second album, Under the Town (2006), reached the top 100 on the ARIA Albums Chart and earned her a nomination for an ARIA Award for Best Female Artist. In 2010, she released her children's album See!. Throsby is also a member of Seeker Lover Keeper, alongside Sally Seltmann and Sarah Blasko, with whom she released two albums: Seeker Lover Keeper (2011) and Wild Seeds (2019). Both albums were nominated for ARIA Awards.
