Biography

Flyte, an English indie-pop band from London, was formed in 2013 when members Will Taylor (vocals, guitar) and Nicholas Hill (bass, vocals) met at a youth theatre company. After various formations throughout their teenage years, keyboardist Sam Berridge joined after being discovered singing in the London Underground. A viral cover of Joni Mitchell's "River" led to a record deal with Island Records. Flyte released their first single "We Are the Rain" in 2014 and their debut album The Loved Ones in August 2017, produced by Courtney Barnett’s producer Burke Reid. Their second studio album This Is Really Going to Hurt, was released in April 2021. The band's third self-titled album, recorded at Konk Studios, featured collaborations with Laura Marling and Florence Pugh. In August 2025, Flyte released their fourth studio album Between You and Me via Nettwerk Music Group, with the collaboration of Aimee Mann on "Alabaster".
