Born as a side project of Melbourne-based indie folk band The Little Stevies, Teeny Tiny Stevies is an award-winning Australian childrenâs music group. Sisters Bethany and Sybilla Stephen started writing childrenâs songs in 2015 and had an albumâs worth of material by the end of the year. The LP, entitled Useful Songs for Little People, saw the light in December and included the songs âI Ate a Rainbow,â âFamily (Love Is Love),â and âBaby in Mum's Tummy,â which made it to the finals in the International Songwriting Competition. In 2018, their sophomore effort Helpful Songs for Little People earned them a nomination for the ARIA Awards in the category of Best Childrenâs Album. Preceded by the singles âHad You to Teach Me,â âSuperpower,â and âGood for Your Health,â third album Thoughtful Songs for Little People arrived in 2020 and won Best Childrenâs Album at the ARIA Awards that year. It was also their first full-length to enter the ARIA Charts, climbing to Number 33 upon its initial release. In 2023, their fourth studio album How to Be Creative won the AIR Award for Best Independent Children's Album. The band released the EP What Rhymes with Christmas? in November 2022, followed in April 2024 by the fifth full length The Green Album. The band collaborated with Zoos Victoria to tell the story of the rediscovered Victorian Grassland Earless Dragon with their song and video of "A Tiny Dragon". In 2025 followed the sixth album Brain Fart.
