Biography

Herrenmagazin is an indie rock band from Hamburg, founded in 2004 by Deniz Jaspersen (vocals, guitar), Philip Wildfang (guitar) and Rasmus Engler (drums). Paul Konopacka (bass, vocals) joins the group in 2005. Philip Wildfang leaves the band in 2009 and is replaced by König Wilhelmsburg. The band released their debut album Atzelgift on Motor Music in 2008. This was followed by the albums Das wird alles einmal dir gehören (2010), Das Ergebnis wäre Stille (2013), which reached number 92 in the German charts, and Sippenhaft (2015), which reached number 76. After a break from 2016, Herrenmagazin returned in 2025 with the album Du hast hier nichts verloren, which was released on March 28. Herrenmagazin's music is characterized by melancholic lyrics and a mixture of indie rock and post-punk. The band is known for its poetic and sincere lyrics as well as its connection to the Hamburg music scene.
