Biography

Herbert Pixner (born October 11, 1975 in Merano) is a musician, composer and music producer from South Tyrol. Since 2005, the artist has formed the Herbert Pixner Project together with Heidi Pixner, Manuel Randi and Werner Unterlercher. Musically, the roots of the music project lie in folk music, but with elements of jazz, classical and contemporary music. With Blus'n auf! The debut album is released in 2005. The Herbert Pixner Project subsequently made a name for itself by performing at various events. The next album follows in 2010 with bauern_tschäss - Power'n Jazz . After Na Und?! (2012), Quattro (2014) and Live Im Konzerthaus Wien 2013 (2014), the longplayer Schnee Von Gestern achieved its first chart entry in Austria in 2014 at number 68. With Volksmusik! (2016), Summer (2016), Live On Tour (2017) and Lost Elysion (2018), further longplayers followed. In 2020, the Herbert Pixner Project released the album Symphonic Alps Live together with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra. The album reaches number 26 in the Austrian album charts. The album Schian! follows two years later. The longplayer climbs to number 6 in Austria and also enters the charts in Germany at number 50.
