Helen Darling, born May 1, 1965 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is an American country music artist. Her career began with the release of her debut single "Jenny Come Back" in July 1995, which peaked at number 69 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart. Darling's self-titled debut album Helen Darling was released later that year via Decca Nashville. She also contributed background vocals to Garth Brooks' 1994 single "The Red Strokes" (1994) and sang "I Will Always Be With You" for the film All Dogs Go to Heaven 2. As a songwriter, Darling has had her compositions recorded by artists including Reba McEntire, Little Big Town, and Mindy McCready. Notably, she co-wrote Jo Dee Messinaâs Number One hit "Bring On the Rain". Despite plans for a second album, West of Yesterday, it was ultimately scrapped in 1997.
