Heimatærde, a German medieval-electro band, was founded in 2004 by DJ Ash. Their debut EP Ich Hab Die Nacht Geträumet was released that same year through Infacted Recordings. The group's first album, Gotteskrieger, followed in 2005 and was distributed internationally via Metropolis Records. Heimatærde made their stage debut at the Wave-Gotik-Treffen (WGT) festival in 2007. The band is known for blending dark electro and electronic body music with medieval instruments. Their lyrics are set during the Crusades and incorporate fantastical elements, with albums like Gotteskrieger, Kadavergehorsam, and Unwesen forming a narrative trilogy centered around the character Ashlar of Megalon.
