Heernt was an American jazz and indie rock trio based in New York, founded by drummer Mark Guiliana. The group incorporated a variety of sounds and rhythms, utilizing instruments such as cajÃ³n, trombone, typewriter, steelpan, flute, and clarinet. Heernt's unique sound was shaped by Guiliana's innovative approach to percussion and his experience with other musical projects. Their debut album Locked in a Basement was released in 2006.
