Heaven was an Australian heavy metal band formed in 1980 in Sydney. The group initially consisted of Allan Fryer, Laurie Marlow, and Joe Turtur. In late 1981, Heaven released their debut single "Fantasy" and changed their name from Fat Lip during the recording sessions for their first album Twilight of Mischief (1982). The band's second album, Where Angels Fear to Tread, was released in 1983 and featured guest contributions from Ronnie James Dio, Lita Ford, and Glenn Hughes. Heaven toured extensively throughout the United States during the 1980s, supporting acts such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Mötley Crüe, Black Sabbath, and Kiss. The band disbanded in 1985 due to internal conflicts but reunited in 1998, 2001, and 2012. Allan Fryer, the vocalist of Heaven, passed away on June 4, 2015, after a long battle with cancer. Heaven reformed again in 2022 with original members Laurie Marlow and John Haese.
