Heather Woods Broderick, born on June 7, 1983, in Searsmont, Maine, is an American multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter. She began learning classical piano and flute at age eight and later added guitar and cello. Heather Woods Broderick's early career involved playing in bands like Loch Lomond and Horse Feathers. She moved to Europe after releasing her debut album From The Ground (2009) with her brother Peter Broderick. She toured extensively with Efterklang and collaborated with artists including Nils Frahm and Blitzen Trapper. After returning to the U.S. in 2011, she came into contact with Sharon Van Etten, who accompanied her on several tours between 2012 and 2019. She released her second album, Glider, in 2015, followed by Invitation (2019), Domes (2022), and Labyrinth (2023).
