Heather Duby is an American singer-songwriter born on July 26, 1974, in Eugene, Oregon. She relocated to Seattle in 1994 and worked with producer Steve Fisk on her debut studio recording, Post to Wire, which appeared on Sub Pop Records in 1999. In 2001, Duby released the EP Symbient with the electronic ensemble Elemental. She released the studio recording Come Across the River in 2003 through Sonic Boom Recordings. In 2006, she released an eponymous studio album featuring members of the group Minus the Bear. Duby relocated to the New York City area in 2007. She released the EP Latency in 2011. In 2011, Duby sustained injuries to her hands in a car accident. She released the studio recording Undone in 2020. Duby shared performances with acts including Maritime, Camera Obscura, and Interpol.
