Biography

Moulettes, an English art rock band, was formed in 2002 in Glastonbury, England. The group initially consisted of Hannah Miller (vocals, cello), Ruth Skipper (vocals, bassoon), Robert Skipper, Oliver Austin (drums, vocals), and Ted Dwane (bass guitar). After leaving college, the band began performing regularly in London and Manchester. Their first release was the EP Songs From St. Margaret's in 2007. The band's album, Moulettes, was released in 2010, followed by The Bear's Revenge in 2012. Notable collaborations include performances with Mumford and Sons and support shows for Seasick Steve at the Hammersmith Apollo. In 2014, they released Constellations. Tragically, founding member Robert Skipper died on October 3, 2014, from a heroin overdose. The band continued to evolve, releasing Preternatural in 2016 and later rebranding as Hannah Moule & The Moulettes for their 2021 album Xenolalia.
