Harry Romero, born in New York City, is an American record producer and DJ who first emerged in the late 1990s through his work with the label Subliminal. He began his career collaborating with Erick Morillo and José Núñez as part of the trio Constipated Monkeys, winning the Muzik Remixer of the Year award in 1999. Romeroâs solo breakthrough came with the single "Just Can't Get Enough" (1999), which entered the UK Singles Chart at Number 39, followed by "I Want Out (I Can't Believe)" (2001), reaching Number 51. Subsequent singles were issued on Subliminal and its subâlabel Bambossa, where he released tracks such as "Tania" and "Warped". Romero maintained an active touring schedule, performing at Subliminal sessions worldwide, notably in Ibizaâs Pacha, and held a fourâdate residency at Londonâs SE1 club in 2007. His continued production work under aliases HCCR and Mongobonix has kept him influential within the electronic music scene.
