Biography

Hardfloor, a German electronic music duo consisting of Ramon Zenker and Oliver Bondzio, formed in 1991. The group is known for their contributions to acid house, electronic music, and techno genres. Their early releases, "Let da Bass go" and "Drug Overlord", were released on Eye Q Records in 1991. Hardfloor's distinctive sound, characterized by the use of the Roland TB-303 synthesizer, quickly gained attention. In 1992, their EP Hardtrance Acperience was released on Harthouse, becoming a notable techno club hit. The duo continued to release influential albums such as TB Resuscitation (1993) and Respect (1994), which included the single "Mahogany Roots". In 1995, Hardfloor shifted their style with the album Da damn Phreak Noize Phunk?, incorporating big beat and funk elements. Throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, they released several albums including All Targets Down (1998), So What? (2000), and 4 Out Of 5 Aliens Recommend This (2005). Hardfloor's music has been featured in films such as The Beach, and they have performed at major festivals worldwide, including Tribal Gathering and Nature One. Their extensive discography includes notable remixes of tracks by artists like Depeche Mode and New Order.
