Happa-tai is a Japanese male music group that originated from a variety show. The members are leader Kiyotaka Minamiwara (born February 13, 1965, in Kagawa Prefecture), Jun Nagura (born November 4, 1968, in Hyogo Prefecture), Taizo Harada (born March 24, 1970, in Tokyo), Ken Horiuchi (born November 28, 1969, in Kanagawa Prefecture), Bibiru Oki (born September 29, 1974, in Chiba Prefecture), and Noboru Ouchi (born June 3, 1975, in Tokyo). They took Japan by storm with their striking visuals and energetic dance routines. On April 18, 2001, they made their long-awaited CD debut with the single âemâ âYATTA!â (composed by DanceâMan). The single became a massive hit, debuting at No. 6 on the Oricon charts. As for album releases, in 2001 they released the compilation album *YATTA!*, which featured a wide variety of remixes and instrumental versions of the title track. This album is filled with overwhelming energy that instantly brings a smile to the listenerâs face. In 2003, they appeared as guests on an American television show and rocked dance floors overseas with their extraordinary musical performance.
