Biography

Born Asger Nordtorp Pedersen, the indie-pop singer-songwriter known professionally as Guldimund cut his teeth in the choir as a child and took his first steps as a musician with TÃRN's debut 2016 album Ud Ad Mit Vindue, on which he played bass as well as contribute songwriting and singing duties. The next few years saw him take up residence as a bass player and co-songwriter with Danish art-pop band Blaue Blume, working on their 2017 EP 'Sobs as well as 2019's Bell of Wool. He entered the solo arena in 2021 with his debut studio album Dem, Vi Plejede At VÃ¦re in 2021, which catapulted him into the spotlight with a hat-trick of Steppeulven accolades: Musician of the Year, Lyricist of the Year, and Publisher of the Year. He drew more critical acclaim for his 2023 follow-up and major-label debut, Jeg venter i lyset, which was released by Universal Music Denmark. The "HalskÃ¦de" single followed in 2023.
