Biography

Gucci Crew II were an American Miami bass group from Miami, Florida, that formed in 1986. The ensemble was founded by MC V, TFS, and Disco Rick and are famous for being pioneers of the Miami bass genre and for their signature single “Sally, That Girl” (1987). They achieved professional recognition in 1987 with the regional hit “Gucci Bass”, followed by their debut studio recording So Def, So Fresh, So Stupid (1987). Following the departure of Disco Rick, the group continued as a duo and released the studio recordings What Time Is It? It's Gucci Time (1988) and Everybody Wants Some (1989). Their discography includes their final studio recording G4 (1990) and the single “Booty Shake” (1990), which became a club anthem. The ensemble became inactive in 1994 following the release of a greatest hits compilation. MC V died in 2007.
