Greg Spero, born on February 22, 1985, is an American pianist from Highland Park, Illinois. He began his musical journey at age fourteen, joining his father's band. In 2009, Spero launched a jazz piano masterclass channel on a video streaming platform called weeklypiano. His album, Radio Over Miles (2010), was nominated for Best Jazz Album at the Chicago Music Awards. Between 2014 and 2018, Spero performed with pop artist Halsey, designing and performing synthesizer and keyboard parts for her live shows. In 2015, Spero formed the jazz band Spirit Fingers, which released their debut album in March 2018, reaching number 11 on a streaming chart's Jazz chart and number 20 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz chart. Throughout his career, Spero has composed music for film and television, including The Perfect Breakup, and founded a startup called weeBID, a fan-initiated crowdfunding platform launched in 2020.
