Grace Ives (born 1995 in Newâ¯York, Newâ¯York) is an American pop singer-songwriter who began her musical journey in Gowanus, Brooklyn, after studying graphic design at Maryland Institute College of Art and SUNY Purchase. She first emerged with the EP Really Hot in 2016, followed by the single "Mirror" in 2019, and released her debut album 2nd on Aprilâ¯22,â¯2019, receiving positive reviews from Stereogum. In 2020 she released the single "Icing on the Cake" and later "Loose" in 2022, leading to her second album Janky Star on Juneâ¯10,â¯2022, which earned a Best New Music rating from Pitchfork; she performed âLullabyâ on Jimmyâ¯Kimmel Live! the same month and toured with Lykke Li. Her album Girlfriend was released on Marchâ¯20,â¯2026, which featured the singles "Avalanche" and "Stupid Bitches."
