Biography
Amelia Toomey, known professionally as Girli, was born on December 6, 1997, in northwest London. She is a British singer and rapper who began her musical journey at age eight by writing her first song. Girli's career started with open mic performances under her legal name, Milly Toomey, before transitioning to the stage name Girli. Her debut single "So You Think You Can Fuck With Me Do Ya?" was released in 2015, followed by her first EP Feel OK in 2017. In April 2019, she released her debut studio album Odd One Out. After being dropped by PMR Records and canceling her 2020 Sofa Tour due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Girli released the EP Ex Talk in February 2021 under AllPoints. Her second album, Matriarchy, was released in May 2024.
