Biography
McKenzie Ashton Ellis, known professionally as Mothica, was born on March 12, 1995, in Oklahoma City. She began producing music at age 18 and released her first song, "Starchild," which gained attention on SoundCloud. Her debut EP Mythic followed in December 2015, featuring the single "No One." In June 2020, Mothica's song "VICES" went viral on TikTok. This success led to the release of her debut studio album Blue Hour in August 2020, which explored themes of mental health and sobriety. In July 2022, she released her second studio album Nocturnal. Mothica has collaborated with artists including Scene Queen and Ellise.
